Morris’ Farm Shop, Usk

Morris’ Farm Shop had been considering a large foodhall extension to their existing farm shop for some time and finally approached us in late Summer 2021.

They’d seen another Eurocryor installation at nearby Edwards of Conwy and taken inspiration from this, in particular the straight glass counters and multideck. Could we help them achieve their own vision?

What we did

Timescales were a challenge because Morris’ needed everything finished for early December ready for their planned grand opening in January / February 2022. We have installed the following:

  • Eurocryor serveover counters for fresh meat, cooked meat/deli, cheese and pies
  • Eurocryor low height multideck for fresh meat
  • A bespoke chiller cold room
  • Specialist meat dry ager display cabinet
  • I-Moon specialised LED low-energy food display lighting
  • Low-energy refrigeration plant

Eurocryor KITE B bespoke straight glass serveover counter

Based on what they’d seen at Edwards of Conwy we put forward our design scheme for a bespoke Eurocryor model KITE B serveover counters with straight glass for fresh meat, cooked meat, cheese and pies plus the Eurocryor model GEMINI low-height multideck for fresh meat along an entire wall.

In keeping with the rural locality of the shop the copper-coloured finishes were specified by Morris’ to enhance their desired rustic theme.

Benefits and results

To avoid the grand opening being overshadowed by the hectic seasonal trading of their existing shop (and working farm) the shop launch is planned for early in 2022.
