An Italian family-run deli in Edinburgh that originated in 1937 and now being fitted out with new refrigerated display equipment as part of their 80 year shop anniversary.
The existing equipment is approximately 30 years old and being renewed both to update the retail area & improve the customer experience.
What we did
The new Eurocryor serveover counter and 2 new Costan self-service multidecks with all refrigeration engineering plus a coffee station and some bespoke oak shopfitting.
The shop is pivotal in the local Italian community and provides countless speciality Italian food and drink items that are otherwise unavailable locally.
Eurocryor Bistrot straight glass serveover counter
The recommendation was the bespoke Eurocryor model BISTROT serveover counter with inclined glass. This combines a traditional appearance to importantly help retain the heritage and traditional feel of the shop while providing up-to-date refrigeration technology. The style of counter was also in response to a specific request from the customer to reflect the style of counter that was in their shop 50 years ago (when run by the grandparents).
Benefits and results
The shop is due to re-open on 18th January but the customer has widely publicised the refit and thus forecasting an increase in turnover and profitability both from existing and new customers.
